Nvm the latter!

Nevermind what I wrote last post! I've started a project from scratch with some new found tutorials and this video shows where I'm at right now! (Alphastage v0,1). Atm it's unnamed.. Have to come up with some catchy and working name ;)

C# Dropped/paused untill further notice...

Lack of "actual" getting there alone has led to me losing more and more intrest in C#, mostly due to the only (FREE) useble tutorials on the net was too much Copy+paste this and voilla I really felt I didn't learn enough/anything to keep me motivated. I won't call it a waste of time, I've learnt some new thinking and basic understanding of C#.
Untill further notice I'm not procceeding with C# anymore. Thus putting this blog to an idle state at the moment. Won't post anything untill I find something intresting to pick up. And atm im only trying to complete 100% on Crash 2 which is nothing to blog about ^^. Peace out!

New awesome phone! Xperia Play

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play
Just got this phone and It's AMAZING! Never thought an android phone would be so great, and I was sceptical too the texting corrector but it's pretty sweet tbh :). And the games are great, even though they cost (I'll never pay for one tho!, only played trial versions and the ones I got with the phone).
Also spending 5hours too get SEGA and PSx emulators working so I can play my favourite old-school games! Lately I've completed Sonic and working on Crash Bandicoot 2 now. The gaming feeling on this phone is almost as great as too the PSP (First rev, which I had. So I can compare). With exception of the "analog" pads, they have a plastic feeling which I don't like, but I don't rly play any analog needed games, but I've read that you get used to it. So for all I can say... THUMBS UP TO THIS PHONE!

Advanced Terrain and base world of a game

Today I'm using HLSL (High Level Shading Language) which I used in the car scene, now it's time to implent it into a game world and create some advanced terrain. Here's a quick peak of the starting scene.

Summer Holidays Started

So my summer holiday started a week ago and havn't been home nor programming anything. But from today I'll continue where I left off, creating the street scene with a car and "real" shadow effects!

A Street, a nice car in 3D with cool shadow effects

So today im learning how to texture a car model (the model not made by me! but textures are) and then putting this car onto a street which is created by me in XNA, then using some nice light effects I've learn't how to create some cool shadows of the model! (Will update this post with more pics as I go).

A 3D City, (Simple) Flight Simulator

So now continuing with my "XNA and 3D" tutorial has taken me to create a simple 3D city and a starship you are to controll and fly around in the city. Like a flight simulator, a very simple one keep in mind. But it looks cool! Here's a peak of the start!
Now the simulator is complete, Movie at the end of this post and in the Movies section of this site.

First sneak-peak at the 3D World

So this is how far I've gotten with my 3D World atm, pure renders of a small "world" created with ONLY triangles. Quite amazing. At the moment you can only pan the "camera" angle around the Y axis with Del/Pg Dn key strokes. But it's pretty cool for such an early stage.

C# Is the way to go atm!

So today I decided that I'll continue with C# and XNA Game Studio and try to create atleast a small sample/demo of a game which I might continue on, depending on wether I can get it to work as close to my imagination of it as possible. If all goes well I'll start with media (Pics, Sound etc.) after the sample/demo is made. Won't bother wasting time to it untill then.

And now I've finished some 2D Tutorials of XNA (not gonna upload as it's mostly copy-paste code/art/sounds from the tuts). But I did create an small WoW-platform Game which can be found in the "Media" section of the blog (A movie of the game, it's not playable for others). And now I've moved on to a very complexed 3D tutorial which will teach me about vectors, 3D graphic engines and creating them in XNA.

Update

Right so atm I've been fixing the site abit, aswell as finishing up in school before the summer holidays. Finished my Flash (AS2) Shooter Game - "The Last StarFighter"
Which I recieved top grade for (Y). Will be uploading the game here and you can try it if you want! It's in the Game-developping section of the blog, check it out.

The blog is far from complete and doesn't look exactly as good as it could or as I want it to, but im trying to fix it as well as I can.
While I'm writing I'm currently learning C#(XNA Game Studio) by using XNA's official 2D Shooter tutorial:

Quite intresting and a good start. I'm not entirely sure I'll learn C# fully as it seems more demanded to know C++ when programming at a high level. However I do intend into making atleast one full C# game thats made 100% by myself before changing programming language.

Site Launch!

Today I launch my "blog", even though it's abit gay for a guy to do so. But I wan't to be able to upload all my work, games, videos and programmes etc I create and share them with the world in a easy way. A website is required, and I chose a blog due to the common fact that it's the easiest way to update about new or 'to come' projects.
